I approached Pittsburgh Asphalt Company because I saw its trucks everywhere, and reasoned that if it was as busy as it appeared, it must be good. I, of course, also got several bids, and Pittsburgh Asphalt was quite competitive. Pittsburgh Asphalt helped me with multiple suggestions as to how to best do the job. In particular, it urged that I put a cement drain in the middle of the flat part of my driveway, and then tailor from the edges to it for drainage. Now that the job is complete, it is readily apparent what a smart option this was. It protects a room on that level, my garage, and a large wall which would otherwise have been exposed to constant water flow. Pittsburgh Asphalt also suggested where curbs should go and how they should be formed, and the suggestions were crucial to the superb finished driveway.
I would recommend Pittsburgh Asphalt to anyone in need of asphalting services. Its people were genuinely interested in doing the job the best they could, made valuable suggestions and did quality work. They also came on time, worked neatly (as well as very hard) and quickly completed a relatively large job. I love the contours of the driveway, the way it is built up on the one side and the way it flattens what was a steeper driveway through the use of topography. The new driveway is clean, neat, and serves our every need as well as adding to the beauty of our home.
My recommendation is unequivocal. I will be a customer for life.

We wanted to write a note to tell you and your crew what a great job you did with paving our driveway. I would like to take this opportunity to commend the crew that resurfaced the parking lot at Elizabeth Seton Center located at 1900 Pioneer Ave. Pittsburgh, PA.
First, they could not have been more accommodating to our staff and clientele. They marked off the parking lot each morning so that our clients could enter and exit the lot with ease during the construction. When needed they assisted parents with children and when the wide-eyed children came out to watch the big machines, the crew would always acknowledge that the children were there.

Second, as our staff observed, the crew had a very professional work ethic. We often wondered when they took a break. Any time we looked they were busy doing the task set before them. They absolutely worked as a team to get the work done. In talking to some of the members of the crew, each one of them took pride in the work they were doing.

Third, seeing the project manager working alongside the crew and rewarding their work with words of encouragement was edifying. And then rewarding them with pizza when their work was almost completed was icing on the cake! This only showed that Pittsburgh Asphalt appreciates the people that work at the company.
